There are so many ways a company can give back, but for those of us in the property management and asset management field, we may not realize that a new development project can be the perfect way to  help your local community.

Our team knew one of our projects would be converting an existing complex into luxury town homes, we thought that our local fire department might want to use the old building for training. We were right! Before we tore down the complex, we offered the City of Redondo Beach a chance to conduct SWAT and fire training exercises.

It’s not often the local firefighters get a chance to train on a controlled burn on a building of this size. The training exercise proved a great way to help our local firefighters. They told me that this type of training was important and helps saves lives, the more they can work with this type of controlled burn, the more efficient they can be in a real life situation. WOW! That was pretty powerful. So before the demo trucks began hauling out the remnants of an old building and before digging ground we got a chance to help our local firefighters.

Here are some of the highlights. It felt wonderful to be a part of this training and we hope to be a part of many more to come!

Firefighters use two days to train

Burn ignites and is out within minutes

There are always ways to give back, First Light Property Management is honored we could help our local heroes.
